The cycle path connecting Wandlitz to Biesenthal has been eagerly awaited for years. Unfortunately, the route currently ends in Lanke. From there, only roads (with very fast cars) or wild field paths lead on, with the alternatives to Biesenthal all requiring a major detour. - In terms of scenery, a detour to the Krumme Lanke would definitely be worthwhile! This area is a real mountain biker's paradise - up to the motorway and beyond the Wukenseen lakes!

Opposite the bathing area marked here is the restaurant/hotel which Max Schmeling used as a training camp in 1938 before his trip to America (but he then lost to Joe Louis).

Magnificent view of the other shore. In a few minutes over there, "Ulis Fischerhaus" awaits you, a small beach and a jetty to jump into the lake.

but to see the lake you have to get off the path (on foot)

Beautifully laid out and paved bike path along Wandlitzer Straße, along the Obersee.

The Obersee is a 13.7 hectare natural lake that was created in a meltwater tank from the last Ice Age. It is approx. 740 m long, 120 to 230 m wide and a maximum of 10 m deep.

Highly recommended for a break with a refreshing bath.
