At this point the Ruhr widens to form the Baldeneysee. On the opposite bank you can see the slopes of the Baldeneyer Forest and the ruins of Neue Isenburg Castle.

On the southern shore of Lake Baldeney, the cycle and footpath - unlike on the northern shore - runs almost entirely along the lake. There are various places where you can eat and drink.
