In summer the water level in the lakes is quite low.

The first of the beautiful Colored Lakes from the north. It owes its color to the presence of calcium and sulfur in the water, from former German mines. An interesting cave is also a passage to the next Purple Lake.

Zielony Stawek is located at the end of the short trail of Kolorowe Jeziorki. There is a bench here, from which you can admire not only the pond, but also beautiful views of the area. The pond is in the basin of the Gustaw mine, where copper and iron sulphate was once extracted (1790-1902). It is also worth remembering that after a drought it dries up completely.

There is a booth where you can buy something and probably eat something. Lots of wooden shelters and tables.

Thanks to natural processes and human influence, the quarries gradually filled with water, creating beautiful, colorful lakes. The lake gets this color from the copper compounds present in the subsoil. Entry to the Colorful Lakes area is free.
