The lake is easily accessible by tram (Norymberska station). Approaching the lake from the tram, you'll experience a wow factor: the view of the lake, the steep cliffs, and the floating bathing platforms are simply impressive. Kraków has truly created something special for its residents here.

An extraordinary and unusual view from here of the bathing area on Zakrzówek Reservoir - a popular place, as you can easily imagine, for the residents of Krakow (they are lucky!). For the youngest, there are 40 cm deep paddling pools, and for the experienced and older, pools up to 3.5 meters deep. And of course, those views of crystal clear waters after the flooding of the former limestone quarry.

The sinkhole ponds in Żarki, near Libiąż, are an extraordinary example of a landscape transformed by mining activity. They were created as a result of mining damage and subsidence of the land above the former workings, creating a picturesque water area surrounded by forests and meadows. This place attracts nature lovers, fishermen and cyclists who can admire the wildlife, especially the numerous species of water birds. The trails around the ponds are ideal for a leisurely ride, but you should watch out for the marshy terrain in some places. This is an interesting alternative to the more popular water areas in the region, offering peace and closeness to nature.

Jeziorko Czerniakowskie nature reserve is located in Mokotów. There is a green path running around the lake. The reserve was created in 1987 to protect a part of the Vistula oxbow lake and adjacent areas. Yellow water lily (a small yellow aquatic flower on a flat leaf) is strictly protected - remember that they cannot be picked!
