At least in the summer months you can no longer speak of a waterfall here... only a very small jet comes out

🚗 The starting point for the hike is the valley station of the Sunnbüel cable car in Kandersteg. You can arrive by car and park at the valley station. Alternatively, you can take the train to Kandersteg and walk from there to the valley station. 🚶‍♂️The hike to the Gasterntal Bridge from the Sunnbüel valley station is moderately difficult and takes about 1/2 to 1 hour, depending on your pace and breaks. The path is well signposted and leads through varied alpine landscapes. Start the hike at the valley station of the Sunnbüel cable car. Follow the signs towards Gasterntal. The path initially leads you through forests and along the Kander River. The path gradually climbs and repeatedly offers wonderful views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. You pass several waterfalls and wild, romantic gorges. After about 1 hour you reach the Gasterntal Bridge.

The unlit and very dark tunnel has a handrail in places. This allows you to move around the tunnel relatively safely. If you still feel unsafe, you should take a flashlight with you.

In summer one can hardly speak of a waterfall here
