🚗 The starting point for the hike is the valley station of the Sunnbüel cable car in Kandersteg. You can arrive by car and park at the valley station. Alternatively, you can take the train to Kandersteg and walk from there to the valley station. 🚶♂️The hike to the Gasterntal Bridge from the Sunnbüel valley station is moderately difficult and takes about 1/2 to 1 hour, depending on your pace and breaks. The path is well signposted and leads through varied alpine landscapes. Start the hike at the valley station of the Sunnbüel cable car. Follow the signs towards Gasterntal. The path initially leads you through forests and along the Kander River. The path gradually climbs and repeatedly offers wonderful views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. You pass several waterfalls and wild, romantic gorges. After about 1 hour you reach the Gasterntal Bridge.

Worth seeing. There is an elevator for 100 meters directly in the mountain. The rest of the way is on foot. The falls are supposedly 600m high but the stairs don't go all the way to the top! So it's not that bad, you can do it without an elevator 😉

The waterfall is called (as far as I know) Bärglifall.
