Ideal parking is available at the Torfmoos Niederrohrdorf. From there, it's only a five- to six-minute walk to the hut. A beautiful, well-maintained fire pit with a large, swiveling grill, several benches, two outdoor tables, and another table with benches under the canopy. A fountain with running water (presumably drinking water quality)

The Herzogshütte in the forest between Dättwil and Neuenhof is a hub in the region. Around 8 paths lead to or in the immediate vicinity of the Herzogshütte in all directions. The hut and the square are popular destinations for schools and families. Fire pits are available and also a small well (when it supplies water).

Driven by a thousand times and never really noticed 😥. The small Birmenstorfer forest hut is a little gem with lots of space to play and be. In bad weather, however, shelter is very scarce. But there are good clothes 😉.
