Beautiful little hike with fantastic views from the small chapel on the summit of the Balkan Mountains and Teteven.

Petrahiliya is an impressive mountain above Teteven. It can be reached directly from Teteven. There are marked trails here, although as of August 2025, they are not listed in Komoot. The ascent is steep, and the paths are partially blocked by fallen trees. Alternatively, the summit can also be reached from behind via the Haidushka Mogila peak.

Move carefully on rock fields — watch each step and use trekking poles for balance. Fatigue makes slips more likely, so take your time.

Bratkov Vrh peak, with amazing panorama 360 view around you all over the Balkan mountains. Just enjoy!

It is so sad to see interesting architecture left to be destroyed. Could have easily be turned into a museum.
