The water sports facility has two different lanes that you can use with wakeboards or waterskis. Those looking for something less action-packed can rent a SUP board or use the sauna. Reservations are recommended.

There is a lot to see and hear on your walk around Årslev Engsø: you can watch the cattle grazing, hear the frogs croaking and look out for the birds. There are several observation towers along the way. The lake was renaturalized in 2002/2003 and now offers a protected space for animals and plants. A circular path leads around the lake.

The impressive Tangeværket power station was built between 1918 and 1920 at a location where the Gudenå has a natural gradient of about 10 metres. In addition, the Gudenå was raised slightly and a large artificial lake was formed, which supplies the power station with sufficient water.

Vennelystparken is a public park in Aarhus. It is the city's oldest park and was created between 1824 and 1830 between Vennelyst Boulevard and Nørrebrogade. Until the 19th century and up until the Second World War, it served as a backdrop for revues, circuses, concerts and plays. Today the park is part of the campus of Aarhus University. There are no permanent stages anymore, but the park is used for outdoor concerts, demonstrations and as a local recreation area. Vennelystparken is landscaped with large rolling grassy areas and a lake and stream running through the area. The trees are beech and chestnut.
