There is now a construction site at waypoint 11, the path is basically closed. We didn't know this and didn't want to take a detour, so we climbed cross-country, but that was more risky than time-saving. Be careful and re-plan if necessary before you start!!

After the extremely hot summer of 2023, the stream has almost completely dried up. We have rarely experienced something like this in the fall. Nevertheless, the path is always impressive.

I like the classification 'tough walk'. A bit exaggerated. It is also not dangerous, unless you go off the path to take that better picture. But I am also used to walking on Alpine trails and this is not that high. A bit of climbing and descending over rocky ground. Mountain boots and water shoes are recommended, you can swim in the water. It is also not very far to Micro Seitani, but a bit further to Megako Seitani. Beautiful beach, with some more shade under the trees. Not really a very nice snorkeling spot. I would recommend going back over the same path. Today we tried an alternative way back on Komoot (over the ridge) that was indicated, but no longer existed. We then had to go a long way back, to Micro Seitani. We walked a total of 10 km instead of 6.5 km. Path is very beautiful.

Crossing the Potami Gorge is a unique experience in Samos! Fantastic nature and a touch of adventure and action. Anyone who enjoys canyoning will get their money's worth here 👍

Don't forget good water shoes, nothing for slippers or bare feet. Very nice tour through the water over waterfalls and some swimming spots. You can store clothes at the top of the tavern (at the end of the steep stairs).

Always worth a hike. You can also go up to the tavern; and on the other side back down to the stream, then you have saved the first two Wasserfäkke and can enjoy the wild and romantic valley behind.

Spots,ital is always worth a visit. You should be here early because it gets crowded around noon.

The large Teufelsbucht is really deserted, here you can almost always swim undisturbed, as a break when hiking.
