Scenic river canyon right next to the town of Litohoro. A road leads down to some riverside restaurants. The Hellenic Mountaineering Association hut and information center is just before the descent into the gorge, for information about climbing the mountains around Mt Olympus.

I stayed here for two days. Highly recommended. Small apartments with a kitchen and free parking. Right on the edge of Palaios Panteleimon. You can't drive into the village anyway. Kostas, the landlord, is incredibly nice. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely stay there again.

A stopover if you are on the way to Mitikas. Here you can buy food and drinks. Souvenirs and equipment are also available. If you need a helmet, you can rent one here. The landlady is very nice and she speaks English and German. You can not only stay in the hut, but you can also sleep in a tent if you have brought one with you.

A nice place to stay after climbing Mount Olympus. Tip: Despite the cold, climb out of your sleeping bag early in the morning and experience the sunrise outside. The massif of the main ridge shines wonderfully in the morning light.

Shoes must be removed upon entry. But you can also order something outside at the side entrance.

Rustic mountain hut as you know and love it. Hearty food, simple sleeping arrangements and a common room with a fireplace for chatting with other hikers. It can get very chilly up here. So don't just pack for the summer.
