Elegant building built at the end of the 19th century at the behest of the oenologist and Knight of Labor Stanislao Sindici. The project was carried out by Count Giuseppe Sacconi, the architect who designed the Altare della Patria in Rome. The castle was built with local limestone on the model of an ancient medieval fortress and was built in the center of a large park that still surrounds it. The building was initially used as a cellar for storing wine but over the years it has been converted into a meeting place for important artists who gravitated around the Mayors. For example, the Roman painters Aurelio and Cesare Tiratelli are mentioned. The famous Gabriele D'Annunzio was also hosted in the elegant residence. In 1928 the Castel Sindici estate was declared an "Area of National Artistic Interest". In the cellars, "Castel Sindici" wine was produced, sold in Italy and abroad, winner of eight gold medals. This wine was much appreciated, so much so that it was mentioned among the fine wines of Lazio in the first edition of 1931 of the "Gastronomic Guide of Italy" of the Italian Touring Club and to be exhibited among the wines of the Italian pavilion of the 1935 World Expo in Brussels. . It is still possible today to see the ceramic barrels where the wine was stored, which can be visited during some events. From 1943 the building was requisitioned by the Nazis who used it as the headquarters of the military command of the S.S. The building is currently owned by the Municipal Administration and is being restored. The surrounding park, full of centuries-old trees, is open to the public every day. The Acropolis of Arpino is an archaeological site close to the town of Arpino, one of the most important for the knowledge of the megalithic architecture of southern Lazio, not only for the large extension of the walls but also for their age, greater than that of other sites (according to some, it can be placed in the middle of the Iron Age, 8th/7th century BC), and classifiable according to the scale created by Giuseppe Lugli in the second way. The civitas vetus of the city, a typical example of Volsca fortification, represents one of the best preserved city walls built in polygonal work in pre-Roman times. It was probably the original nucleus of the primitive Volsco settlement (people of the 7th-6th century BC). Of particular significance is the presence of a "pointed arch", the only one of its kind that has survived in the entire Mediterranean area. This is a typical corbel arch, which constitutes a so-called scea door.

7월 29, 2020, Historic Center of Fumone
Due to its position and proximity to the boundary of the ancient state of the Church, Fumone, from which the valleys of the Cosa and Sacco dominate, was placed by the papacy as a sentinel against Saracen and Norman incursions. It seems that its name derives from the fact that it was the reporting center for any enemies in sight, by lighting fires on a special tower: a thesis that is reflected in the popular saying "Si Fumo fumat..Tota Campania tremat .. . ". Fumone enters history in the Middle Ages (9th century), but the legend traces its origins to King Tarquinius the Superb who, after the expulsion from Rome, seems to have found refuge here (5th century BC). Over the centuries it was papal dominion and its fortress was also used as a prison. His most illustrious prisoner was Pope Celestine V, the Pope of the "great refusal", locked up in the fortress by Boniface VIII, where he died in 1296 in mysterious circumstances. At the end of the century XVII the Marquises Longhi, to whom the fortress was received, restored and transformed it, creating a magnificent complex called "Villa Longhi" with the adjoining "hanging garden", a real marvel: its avenues alternate with ancient plants, flower beds and archaeological finds.
