Halfway through the first stage of the Cammino di San Nilo. Coming from the valley, you're glad to be able to take a break here after 5km. The interior was open when I passed by. The key was in the ignition.

A small but comfortable rest area or bivouac along the Way of St. Nilus, sheltered from the heat by the olive trees. Perfect for a break before continuing your journey.

There is a natural reservoir of drinking water here. Please take care of it and do not waste water.

From the Pietrapiana cave to climb to the shelter on the north peak of Mount Finestra you have to take a panoramic but quite treacherous path (T3-T4), part of the "Sentiero Italia - Stage S17S" Trekking clothing, sturdy shoes and some mountaineering experience.

The Santa Maria del Monte refuge is located on a plateau of the Lattari Mountains, at over 1000 meters above sea level. It has 13 beds and an outdoor rest area with benches and tables, and offers a panoramic view of the Gulf of Salerno, the Amalfi Coast and the island of Capri.

The Cervati Refuge is located on the slopes of the mountain of the same name, at an altitude of 1,597 metres. It has around 20 beds and offers a half-board service. It is completely surrounded by greenery. The Campania section of the Sentiero Italia passes through here.
