The lodge needs repairs and new beds. There is an outside bathroom. The food was nice. The hosts are kind.

The steps start at the Swoboda hut, where there are some picnic and barbecue areas. If it is open also a coffee.

Lukata is actually the normal end point of the path that leads up the river from Devin. Going further in the gorge is problematic, even if paths along the river towards Golyam Beglik via Kimerov Most and Toshkovo are marked on Komoot maps. The best option for another hike is the path to Stanilovo Bardo, which climbs steeply behind the hut. From Stanilovo Bardo is up to about 1450m above sea level. NN on the mountain slope a way back to Devin e.g. via Ravne possible. Other possible destinations: Shiroka Polyana, Borino or Teschel and Kosi Rog in the vicinity. Otherwise there is a place to rest with table and benches before returning to Devin - either along the river through the canyon or on the other side of the river via Kaleto back to the Strulitza outdoor pool.

The hosts are kind and helpful. There is good choice of food and drinks, only the coffee is a vending shit. Rooms are better than average and even have own bathrooms.

Trigradski Skali - hut and restaurant at the entrance to Trigrad - highly recommended!

Good infrastructure for hiking between Borino and Kastrakli, solid shelters or picnic areas and beautiful fountains with excellent drinking water
