A very impressive castle with a great history, some of it even in German. Across three levels, there are stories about the army, the castle's old walls, the town of Senj... Highly recommended. Admission is €5 per person, €2 for children, and €10 for families.

Very nice area. Short walks from the city center promenade to Fortica are possible for everyone as everything is not far from each other.

Sokolac is a multipurpose defense tower, a fort on a rocky hill in the center of the Lika town of Brinje. Beautiful view of the whole place

Nehaj Castle is a must-see!

The Uskok castle, the hideout of the Rote Zora and her gang. Museum and restaurant in one wall. Historical flair and lots of information. The entry ticket (20 kn) can be sent home as a greeting card. You can enjoy a wonderful view of the Adriatic Sea and the city of Senj and feel the strategic role of this fortification. We highly recommend the Uskoken platter for two in the restaurant.

Remains of the small rectangular fortress Fortica, which protected the city of Karlobag in the Middle Ages. Worth seeing next to the remains of the wall are, above all, the beautifully landscaped and well-kept Mediterranean garden that surrounds the fortress.
