On the way down to the rather overgrown path through the forest, there is a concrete or gravel path on the right, which can be used as an alternative in the more difficult sections.

This is where the official path to the waterfall starts! You’re not there yet.

Follow the red dots on stones and eventually the blue ones to the waterfall. Once you reach the small waterfall, it is approximately 20-30 mins of scrambling over rocks to reach the big one.

Definitely very poorly signposted. The paths are often overgrown.

Fakistra has gained a few meters in depth as a beach after the devastating storms in September 2023, so there is more space for visitors. Really wonderful, spectacular bay. But no water on site (and no bar etc.).

Incredible place! Mid-August, the whole of Greece is groaning under the 35° sun, and here you hike up a gorge and swim in wonderfully cool, fresh water!

We also had a hard time finding a way through the small gorge. It's not easy! It's especially important to note that surefootedness is essential.

I can only confirm that, when we got to the top, the path was no longer there for a long time, so caution was advised. The descent was also difficult in places. We did the hike at 5:24.
