Templa summit is located in the Thessalian Agrafa range at an altitude of 1,809 meters, serving as a natural balcony overlooking Lake Plastira. The hike typically starts from the Agrafa Refuge, offering a relatively easy ascent that takes about one hour to reach the top. It is famous for providing one of the most stunning panoramic views in Greece, capturing the lake, the peaks of Voutsikaki, and the Agrafa mountain range. The summit acts as a gateway for more advanced mountaineers, marking the beginning of the ridgeline path toward the higher Voutsikaki peak (2,154m).

From Prionia, it's 950 meters in elevation to the well-equipped hut at 2100 meters. Approximately 2 to 2.5 hours of total walking time. It's a good place to stay overnight and eat. And you can also buy water, as there's no drinking water up there! From the hut, it's another 550 meters in elevation to the summit. Windy, cloudy, and sometimes cold, even in summer!

Easily accessible from the Velouchi ski center, no special equipment required, just fitness and good shoes.

Very, very rewarding. I personally climbed the summit in snow (mid-May). The last part from Skala to Mytika was absolutely not easy and requires experience hiking and climbing in less than optimal conditions, at least in snow. The summit is still highly recommended and is certainly a lot easier in season. :)

A quiet place to pause and reflect.

It is the highest point on the island. The view is simply fantastic. You can see Skathos town and, if you stay long enough, you can watch impressive take-off and landing maneuvers at the airport.
