Festive atmosphere everywhere Throughout Norway, the spectacular event surrounding the midnight sun is celebrated with dancing, music, games, boat trips, and bonfires until late into the night. This is the second ascent to the North Cape. My picture is from a few kilometers earlier. The climb can be seen in the background. With a headwind and side gusts of approximately 40 km/h, it's best approached with caution, especially higher up. One picture shows me taking a break before the ascent, sheltered from the wind by a snowplow. The overall experience is unique and worth all the effort!

I recommend the Strand Camping site a few meters away, right next to River Camping. It's a bit more spacious and the owners are very friendly. You can walk through the bush down to the river.
