It is a beautiful place, also good for a rest. It is easier to drive to the castle via the Stadelhof

A mighty castle once sat enthroned over Winterstetten, but it was demolished in the 18th century and then used as a quarry. Today only a few remains of the wall, a display board and a memorial stone remind of the former complex.

It's a dead end, I drove down a gorge on the way back, I definitely don't recommend this route. Very dangerous, please do not drive.
