Definitely worth a trip, whether summer or winter. In winter everything is icy and beautiful to look at.

The half-timbered house stands alone, next to huts, in the middle of the forest and used to serve as a hunting lodge for the princes. In the 1920s, the Siebshaus was a lively youth club for the social-democratic "Friends of Nature". Today the hunting lodge is owned by the Thuringian forest office in Stadtroda. The house serves as a resting place for hikers and guests who want to stay overnight. It's a bit better in the nearby Linzmühle.
