Completely inconspicuous in the forest is the green house with its outbuildings, which is on the way to the hunting grounds. A wonderful piece of earth. 🤗

The dukes' hunting guests, who were mostly accommodated in the Fröhliche Nachkunft and Hummelshain castles, then found their way to Rieseneck and prepared for the hunt in the "Green House", while their carriages were parked in the coach house, which still exists today.

Experience and enjoy nature up close! The nature experience house offers all this and much more. Located in the middle of the forest and surrounded by shell limestone slopes, it is the perfect starting point for hiking and discovering nature. A great diversity of species on the site lures in many ways to explore and experience nature. For example, a stream flows through the site, which is a habitat for dippers, grass snakes and brown trout. The house itself is also home to some protected species. Our animal roommates are bats under the roof, birds raise their young in the nesting boxes on the outside wall and the most beautiful moths can be observed on the butterfly meadow.
