The bridge completes the 1.2-kilometer-long new cycle path from southern Dwang to the Krösnitz peninsula. "The nature-oriented tourist cycle route runs on municipal land directly along the shores of Lake Ostorf and Lake Faulen. With unobstructed views of both lakes and the city skyline, it offers a strong attraction for cyclists and pedestrians. It's amazing what's being done with EU funds. The rest area is located on the Hamburg-Rügen cycle route. Shelter and benches are available. Like everywhere else in the world, it's been littered and graffiti-covered by dim-witted people.
