Right on the shore you can still see the remains of the foundations of the so-called “gondola square”. They come from the former boathouse built in 1824, which is said to have housed three boats resembling Italian gondolas. On special occasions, these were lavishly decorated and lowered into the water and illuminated with lanterns. In 1945 the boathouse was also destroyed and later demolished. Today there is a covered rest area.

The lake actually only came into being as a separate body of water with the construction of the "Alter Dam" in 1869. Conveniently, it was then called Castle Lake. Another part further south, artificially separated by a dam, is the castle pond 😊. Unfortunately, the castle that gave it its name no longer exists.

The jetty and the demarcation for the non-swimmer area no longer exist. An articulated bus has been added for this 😊, nice bathing area with a large lawn and enough shaded areas. The complex makes a well-kept impression.

The body of water referred to here as the "Idyllic Pond" is the approx. 3.5 hectare Kunersdorfer See, which is located east of the small community of Kunersdorf and south of Lebus. It is right next to the B 112 federal road, but there are no driveways or parking spaces. The Kunersdorfer See is a fishing water, but not a DAV water body. The Lebuser fishing club "Morgenrot e.V." has been based here since 2014. the tenant.

The castle lake is located in the district Hohenjesar the community Zeschdorf. A nature trail leads around the lake. The associated castle no longer exists today.

The bathing place at the Hohenjesarscher lake is located in the district Alt Zeschdorf of the municipality Zeschdorf and is freely accessible. A large lawn is available.
