Swimming is pure pleasure here, but treading water is also very possible. The entrance looks closed from a distance, but that's deceptive. Very nice bathing area at the 55 ha monastery lake, named after the former Cistercian monastery Friedland. Part of the bathing area are two newly built jetties, which replace the wooden jetties demolished in 2014 because they were dilapidated, as well as a spacious play and sunbathing area. The bathing area is right next to the monastery ruins, monastery church and monastery tavern. Admission is free. Parking spaces are very limited, you may have to park at the entrance to the town (approx. 450 m walk).
