With the beginning of the bathing season in 1930, the city of Dessau opened a new lido in the oldest part of the city, Großkühnau, which had been incorporated since 1923 and was first mentioned in a document on May 1, 945. Picturesquely located on the shore of Lake Kühnauer See, the view of the village, castle and church opens up, which widens in visual relation to the western part of the historic Dessau-Wörlitz Garden Realm.
