The history of today's "Picho-Baude" begins in 1927, when today's Picho-Baude was built on the summit by Bernhard Eiselt from Tautewalde. Carl Radon managed the chalet until 1945. After a few innkeepers until 1964, Otfried Grundmann took over the Pichobaude in 1965 as innkeeper. He worked behind the counter until his death in 2003. Today the Pichobaude is managed in the second generation by his daughter Annette Grundmann.
