Even in winter, a visit to this platform and a walk along the moorland path are worthwhile. The tall grasses and tree stumps have a mystical quality amidst the icy and snowy landscape.

It is a quiet area, with lots of nature and currently butterflies!!

A very beautiful place, especially the east shore with these great rocks.

The Green Lake in Merzdorf. Information: Due to the growing overburden, clay extraction became increasingly difficult in the late 1950s, so the clay pit was flooded in the late 1960s, and the production of concrete elements began there simultaneously. The remaining body of water has a greenish hue and is therefore also known as the Green Lake. The "Agnes" and "Flora" clay pits were opened south of the village in 1892.

Simply enjoy this fantastic nature with all your senses. I was at the moor platform in the afternoon and evening and depending on the position of the sun there were beautiful impressions and light reflections on the lake.

Grube Gotthold - a nice place to swim, whether clothed or nude. The descent to the lake from the rocky side is only recommended for people who are good on their feet, otherwise there is another path (blocked by a barrier) that takes you to another bathing area. Clear water, lots of water lilies, but sand and fewer climbing plants at the bathing areas.

a beautiful, quiet spot on earth ... at least in spring ... in summer there is certainly a lot going on there (several bathing spots, at least that's how it seems to us)
