always along the Schwarza

The path here leads through a deeply cut valley with some very steep rocky cliffs. Sometimes you can also see the so-called whirlpools in the riverbed. These are round depressions in the slate rock that have been "ground" by the Schwarza over thousands of years with stones and rubble. They are protected as natural monuments because they are very rare.

The road has a very good surface and is not heavily used. Besides, nature is beautiful. You always drive along the river. In summer the trees provide shade and it is not so hot.

Beautiful idyllic path

The Schwarzatal is really beautiful, especially when it comes to hiking. Unfortunately, the traffic road also runs along the Schwarza. The traffic noise disturbs the whole thing a bit.

On the subject of sewage smell. On the other side of the river is a sewage treatment plant in the valley. Hence the smell. Depends on the wind direction 🤷🏼‍♂️

It's actually a dream, it seems to come out of nowhere. But unfortunately there is a staircase to the waterfall, you have to climb it to fully appreciate its beauty. The water runs over several cascades. You could do more with it. But had the feeling that it smelled like sewage.??
