A wonderful valley leading up to the Rennsteig trail. Very pleasant for cycling.

The path here leads through a deeply cut valley with some very steep rocky cliffs. Sometimes you can also see the so-called whirlpools in the riverbed. These are round depressions in the slate rock that have been "ground" by the Schwarza over thousands of years with stones and rubble. They are protected as natural monuments because they are very rare.

The road has a very good surface and is not heavily used. Besides, nature is beautiful. You always drive along the river. In summer the trees provide shade and it is not so hot.

The Schwarzatal is really beautiful, especially when it comes to hiking. Unfortunately, the traffic road also runs along the Schwarza. The traffic noise disturbs the whole thing a bit.

The forest path climbs parallel to the Barigauer stream. The stream has eroded the rocks deeply, creating a valley. The lush green meadows we now pass are stunningly beautiful.

Now you have to see it up close. But be careful: the mossy stones are quite slippery when wet.

The entire trail is a highlight if you keep your eyes peeled.
