The building complex consisting of the residential house and the wine press house was built in 1823 by the Trier Justice Council Soertz in a classicist style. The property received its current form in 1897 from its owner at the time, the Justice Council Goertz, who raised the building by a half-storey and had the facade rebuilt in the neo-baroque style. The dilapidated property was sold privately by the episcopal convict in 1995. An age-appropriate house is to be built here. The wine press house was redesigned as a wine cafe in 2018 after renovation.

Really worth seeing town with a beautiful castle ruin located on the Saar. The Leukbach with the waterfall flows through the old town center. It is definitely worth stopping at the restaurants, cafes and wine bars in the city center. There are some of them in Saarburg.
