In the years 1902 - 1903 Adeline von Boch, née Baroness von Liebieg from Reichenberg/Liberec, Bohemia (1880 - 1932) and Luitwin von Boch (1877 - 1932) commissioned the Cologne architect Ludwig Arntz to plan Saareck Castle. Saareck Castle has been the guest house of Villeroy & Boch AG since 1954.
