Föhren Castle dates back to the 14th century and was last rebuilt in the Baroque style in 1663. The castle complex includes the tithe barn that has been converted and restored into an event space, the actual main building, in whose large hall the registry office is located, and the outbuilding that has been converted into a holiday apartment. An architectural highlight in the Ruwertal - Grünhaus Castle

The Schloss Grünhaus houses a winery (www.maximingruenhaus.de). The beginnings of the winery date back to the 16th century. In the premises of the castle is also a branch of the registry office Ruwer.

The Kylltal bike path (also called Kyll-Radweg) is a largely parallel to the Kyll running 120 km long bike path. It connects the origin of the Kyll at Losheimergraben on the German-Belgian border with the confluence with the Moselle at Trier-Ehrang and the Roman town of Trier, which is only a few kilometers away. On the part of Jünkerath to Trier runs a railway along the Kyll, which can bypass the increase. The cycle path crosses several landscape forms of the Eifel.
