This spring on a steep slope flows from 3 rock openings. The largest rock opening can be reached by walking along a short, small path along the two front rock openings. The Camphill Lebensgemeinschaft Königsmühle is a small social therapeutic facility for adults with disabilities in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse in southwest Germany. About 13 employees, 8 volunteers (4 of them international) and 24 supervised persons live and work here. The Camphill consists of 3 family-like house communities. The focus of life together is special attention, care and support for people with disabilities in everyday life and at work. The supervised work in the housekeeping, wood, garden or felt workshop. The working style and the way in which the staff is dealt with are familiar and confidential. The volunteers live and work in a house community and are active in the household and in the care of people with disabilities (help with dressing, washing, meals, etc.). If requested and agreed, they can also accompany the carers in their work in the workshops. Participation in the cultural life of the community is also required (annual festivals, games, etc.). The volunteers experience intensive support during their induction. You take part in the staff meetings and are welcome to the weekly further training courses on anthroposophy and human studies. The volunteers work 5 days a week. The weekends are organized like family: shopping, cooking together, excursions and hikes. The working hours are usually either morning to noon or afternoon to evening.
