The burial church of the two saints is one of the oldest Christian places of worship in Bavaria and has been a place of pilgrimage for well over 1000 years.

This spot is one of the more beautiful spots on the circuit.

South of Wilparting, the terrain slopes down to a stream (Röthengraben, Aniansbrunnen), before rising again to the same height. Here lies the Alber farm with the church of St. Anianus. According to legend, this deacon lived here in his hermitage for 40 years. We know of a church consecration by Auxiliary Bishop Dietrich on October 30, 1374 at this location. The building was commissioned by Heinrich III of Rott am Inn. In 1760, the church was restored on the outside (today's window shape), so that since then it has presented itself in late Baroque form. The two-axis nave has a slightly recessed, rectangular choir, which is crowned by a ridge turret (20th century). The roof is completely covered with shingles.
