The Letzbergweiher is a little gem that is a worthwhile destination at any time of year. It is easy and quick to reach from Schönau. The short climb from the pond to the Heideck moat complex is also highly recommended.

The walk around the pond is really worth it. Almost half of it is designated as a bathing lake. We had nice weather at the end of October, but it was too cold for swimming.

With a length of around 325 meters and a width of 200 meters, the Nonnenmattweiher is not particularly large, but it is really beautiful to look at. Here you can swim in peace and at the same time enjoy the Black Forest in all its glory, unfortunately it is quite crowded on the weekends, but during the week it is a little paradise.

The Lötbergweiher is an island of relaxation. Usually you don't meet other hikers and you have the pond to yourself 😊
