When you have hiked about half of the stage from Lorch to Kaub (or vice versa), you will reach this gorgeous place: a wine stand in the middle of the forest. It is open from the first warm day of the year until the first frost at the end of the year. Every day from around 11 a.m. The landlord doesn't hesitate and puts a bottle of wine and a few glasses on the table for you and your fellow hikers - unless you explicitly order a beer - and will be happy to grill a few things for you on the open grill.
