Through the joint initiative of the communities of Handewitt and Wanderup, gravel mining has found a successor as the “Seenland-um-Flensburg” local recreation area. A main attraction is the new bathing area 🏊‍♂️ in Wanderup with a width of 30 meters and a length of 750 meters. The multifunctional house 🏠 located at the Wanderuper bathing lake includes an information and service center as well as toilets. Furthermore, events can be held in a multi-purpose room and extracurricular educational opportunities can be offered.
