Brick factory owner Hans Heinrich Dithmer built the stately villa for himself and his wife from Flensburg in 1872. She wanted a home that was bigger, nicer, and better than anything in the area. She got that and the house was nicknamed "The Castle". Today, Rendbjerg Favn is a respite care facility and a home for children, young people and adults. https://rendbjergfavn.dk/history/

In my opinion, the view of the castle is the most beautiful from here. The path through the forest around the pond was great to drive, but it will certainly be really crowded in summer (?)

Glücksburg Castle was built between 1582 and 1587 by Johann the Younger, Duke of Schleswig-Holstein. It is one of the most important residences in Northern Europe
