One of the most beautiful rest areas I know. Seating inside and outside. Very well maintained and you can get chilled drinks for a small donation.

A very beautiful and lovingly designed break station. Plenty of seating and even a small hut where drinks are provided for a donation. It is in a quiet location, only a few cars pass by.

A rest stop straight out of a picture book! Thanks to the village community and the people who have created such a facility with a lot of love and dedication and keep it in this very well-kept condition.

The background to the beautiful and group-friendly rest area "Fillerkuhle" may not be quite as appetizing for many animal lovers. Because the peeling of the fur from dead animals was called "filling". Hence the name of the rest area. The name goes back to a cave for animal carcasses that was formerly located at the rear of the hut. Here the carcasses of dead cows, horses and other animals from the animal husbandry were cut up, boiled and refined into glue or curd soap. The leftovers were then processed into animal feed.
