The Thuisbrunner Leiten with their limestone grasslands have been used by the people of the Franconian Switzerland as a pasture or for mowing for centuries. They offer rare plants and animals habitat and are typical of the local landscape.
In the upper slope area of the Jägersburgergraben (geotope) between Bammersdorf and Serlbach there are sandstones. They were quarried in several small, now disused quarries.
