When we visited on Saturday, July 19, 2025, it was closed at around 2:00 PM, even though the opening hours outside stated "Saturday 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM." ;-( It's a shame, because we were looking forward to a delicious meal based on the good reviews.

Nice little niche for grilling without being seen

Currently (2025) there is a large sign at the spring saying that the water is not drinkable. It's a shame, we were able to taste it on our last visit...

Wonderful stop. Tarte flambée, waffles, cakes and an extensive selection of drinks. Unfortunately, the operators will close on December 31, 2023 for health reasons.

A very well rated hiking hut with a great range of cakes, delicious tarte flambée and snacks. Reasonable prices and friendly service.

The grill hut is located east of Bodenbach in a small, old quarry called Steinkaul. Due to the very idyllic and quiet location outside of the village, the celebrations here are particularly romantic and stylish.
