The weather shelter, which was faithfully renovated in 2018 (although without the former bell tower), is located at an altitude of 530 meters and is believed to have been built as early as 1866. Bad Elster's garden inspector Paul Schindel had it rebuilt several times during the design of his North Park (now the Forest Park) at the beginning of the 20th century.

A beautiful, lovingly furnished hut for a cozy rest. Those who wish can get a souvenir stamp and sign the hut book.

A very nice location with a view of the Kornberg ski slope. The interior is also very nice outside. Thankfully, they're open again, so we don't want to complain too much, but there's still room for improvement.

All nice gravel paths. So normal hiking clothes and shoes are recommended.

A very nice restaurant with a lovely outdoor area. A great place for a break and a snack, they serve coffee and cake, and of course schnitzel and other dishes at a fair price. This is the perfect place to start your hike or mountain bike tour; there's plenty of free parking nearby.

The Kornberghaus - https://www.fichtelgebirge.bayern/detail/id=621cc809c7eac05a3bdd444c - is currently open Thursday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Generous portions, very tasty!
