The historic baroque castle with its numerous outbuildings is in the most beautiful location, directly on the Havel and on the Plauer See. The building is in poor condition and needs extensive renovation. Nevertheless, a visit is worthwhile, a small restaurant invites you to linger and then take a tour through the castle park in the footsteps of Fontane.

The Schloss Schloss, often referred to as a manor house or manor house, was built at the same time as the church between 1723 and 1727. This house still clearly shows the forms of the late Baroque. The house has two floors and three wings and is now used as a school building. The former ballroom is used as a music room. Here the stucco ceiling and a magnificent chandelier have been preserved. The castle includes a park, a manager's house and terraced workers' houses. The administrator's house, located on the left between the palace and the workhouses, has clear baroque forms and is otherwise of course kept simple.
