Rosenau alluvial fan > a geotope (excerpt from the Bavarian Environmental Atlas) The Rosenau alluvial fan is a flat, Holocene gravel cone that lies only slightly above the surrounding terrain, but has hardly any soil cover and is clearly separated from the surrounding agriculturally used floodplain areas in terms of vegetation (poor grassland). The gravel cone probably belongs to older Holocene gravel sequences that were no longer reached by later floods. Due to the weir system and the run-of-river power plant, the Isar is dammed up to form a large reservoir. The dyke system offers a wonderful view over the dammed river, which is also a real paradise for birds.

Parking and visits to the lido are subject to a fee. In the area of the Waheboards lift, the meadow is reserved for paying boarders, and bathing is forbidden anyway.
