Aholming Castle (sometimes also called Isarau Castle) is located in the Lower Bavarian municipality of Aholming in the Deggendorf district (Isarauer Straße 41). It is listed as a monument under file number D-2-71-111-5. The facility is also listed as an archaeological monument under the file number D-2-7243-0022 with the description "underground late medieval and early modern finds in the area of the removed castle 'Isarau' near Aholming with the associated castle economy".

You can see the tower from the bike path. Unfortunately, a visit to this old castle is not permitted! This is privately owned and the landlady asks you to leave the property immediately, as I was able to experience myself! Nevertheless, I would like to present my pictures here as a highlight. Tannegg Castle is located above the Isarhangleite. The path leads through a ravine from the Isar cycle path up to a plague cemetery from 1713. There is a therapy facility for addiction help in the castle. Beautifully located.

Schloss Adldorf is a castle in Adldorf, Lower Bavaria, a district of the municipality of Eichendorf in the Dingolfing-Landau district. It was built in 1602, severely damaged several times and completely rebuilt in 1906 after a fire.
