English Forest is part of Castle Taxis. Unfortunately, it is more or less left to its own devices and its "heydays" are behind it for the time being. At the small lake there used to be e.g. water lilies. But maybe that will change at some point...

Nice lake with a kiosk and a playground. Great place to take a break. A parking lot for hikers is available. From here it is only three and a half kilometers to Katzenstein Castle.
