This "Döbrichshöhle" is one of Coburg's little puzzles. According to legend, sometimes interpreted as the entrance / exit to the buried secret passage to Veste Coburg. In fact a no cellar, but probably created by humans, therefore a tunnel and actually no cave. A "sandmaker cave". Temporarily inhabited by a hermit Döbrich. Freely accessible until the 1970s, according to the newspaper report about 70 meters deep (I was in it as a child in the back, which were estimated 20 meters). 2 entrances, one walled since about 1980, one with steel gate.
