Fantastic view of the Danube

The Danube Gorge exerts a magical fascination on me. With a strong current, the river squeezes through the high limestone cliffs of the Franconian Jura. At its narrowest point, the Weltenburger Enge is 80 meters wide and, depending on the water level, up to 20 meters deep! At low tide, a pebble beach emerges on the north bank, where Kelheim residents land their canoes and SUVs. A few particularly brave individuals swam through the gorge on my tour!
