The landscape park is elaborately and lovingly designed. There is something for all ages to experience here: from a sandpit and playground for the little ones to a football pitch and skate park to a sunbathing area, boules pitch and fitness equipment, everything is there to have a good time. I found the nutrias particularly funny – not to be confused with muskrats.

The old slider house is a technical monument on the shore of Lake Hertha. The lake was built in 1846 to supply water to the Holzappel pit near Dörnberg-Hütte. Today there is a small park and a swimming pool on the shore.

Sitting here so quiet, idyllic and surrounded by beautiful nature, with the view wandering over the water, it feels like a day on vacation. And there is always something amazing to discover. Always an experience for children. However, as everywhere, you should respect nature and keep the peace and quiet you want so as not to disturb the anglers. The ponds are easily accessible by bike or on foot, but you can also get there by car. When it's not Corona, the fishing club holds a nice party once a year and invites you to a sociable get-together with delicious, fresh fish.
