Here, where the locomotives once roared, cyclists can now take a breather and refuel. This is the Gasthaus Laubacher Wald, and yes, it's an old train station. The tracks are gone, but the charm remains – and the food is definitely not your average train station! ​You're truly sitting in the heart of the Vogelsberg Mountains, the air is fantastic, and after a few kilometers on the saddle, the Hessian specialties taste twice as good. My personal stop tip: Be sure to check out the beer garden when the sun is shining. Or take a look around inside to see if you can spot the ghost of an old conductor somewhere – I only saw wild boar, deer, and fox (which are probably the new regulars). ​Conclusion: A wonderful place for a break! Instead of changing trains, you can simply sit down, enjoy the ride, and then continue cycling, refreshed.

The barbecue hut is currently apparently closed. The hut is cordoned off with construction fencing.

There is good food here.

This is a really nice barbecue area with a shelter and it is well looked after. There should be more of this in the Wetterau. It is also connected to a Wetterau cycle path that connects all the lakes where you can take a break. There is a dam by the lakes from where you can observe the variety of animals.

주변에 좌석이 있는 조용한 파빌리온. 서쪽 방향으로 경사가 약간 있으며, 숲 유치원으로 이어지는 오솔길이 있습니다. 안타깝게도 2025년 봄에 오래된 너도밤나무에 의해 파괴되었습니다. 하지만 재건될 예정입니다.
